What if I need a test shoot?

How test shots work

Updated over 2 months ago

We completely understand — sometimes you want to see a few examples before committing to a full project. If you're considering a test shoot, here’s how we manage it depending on your project type:

We offer two ways to handle test shoots within our per-image workflow:

1. When partial project approval is needed

For larger projects — especially when working with new clients or when specific details need confirmation — we divide the project into two stages. Here’s the process:

  • After we receive your products, we select which images will be created in the initial phase.

  • We issue the first invoice covering only the test images.

  • Once the invoice is paid, we proceed to shoot, retouch, and deliver the first batch of images for your review.

  • Upon your approval, we send the final invoice for the remaining part of the project.

  • After the final payment, the full project turnaround timeline begins, following the schedule outlined in your brief.

If the project is too small or splitting it isn't feasible, we can schedule a call to review your requirements and ensure complete alignment before production begins.

2. When you prefer a test before starting a large project

If you'd like to see results before committing to a bigger order, we recommend beginning with a smaller per-image project. This approach allows you to:

  • Confirm that all key SKUs are properly captured.

  • Evaluate the final image quality.

  • Fine-tune any details before expanding into a full project.

For clients who frequently handle larger-scale shoots, a Studio Nula Membership is an excellent way to simplify the process and maximize your savings.
